A native to the Washington D.C. area, I’m a sucker for a good book, Whovian, honorary Gilmore Girl, and frequent visitor to the Marvel and DC Comics universes. I spent most of my childhood and early adolescence with the goal of becoming a novelist, while, simultaneously, developing a thorough love of cinema. At the age of three, I was quoting The Wizard of Oz.
When I reached college, I started reading screenplays and realized my narrative, creative style was more that of a screenwriter. I became more and more interested in filmmaking itself and have been in love with it ever since. However, even among the frenzy of scripts and film projects on which I continuously work, Ill still jot down a short prose piece from time to time.
After graduating Cum Laude from Stevenson University with a degree in Film/Video/Theatre, I worked, five consecutive summers, for the School of Creative and Performing Arts, an organization specializing in education of film, acting, dance and photography for young adults. I produced my first independent short film, The Stranger, in June of 2010, which I also wrote (adapted from the book), directed and edited. Since, I have worked as Script Supervisor (Enemy of the Reich: Noor Inayat Khan Story, Sally Pacholok, The Rangers), Videographer and Editor (Book Smithed, The Great American Wheat Harvest). I am currently in the process of novelizing the web series Genre Wars: Resistance Rising.
I recently joined the creative team at DUO Media Productions as a full-time editor and writer. DUO Media is an award winning, full service media production company serving national and international clients in the Washington, DC area. Our video production services span all phases of a project; from concept development through distribution, and any part thereof.
