“How now, spirit! Whither wander you?”
Born and raised in Maryland, I am a bookworm, Whovian, honorary Gilmore Girl, aspiring cosplayer, Shakespeare enthusiast, and frequent visitor to a galaxy far, far away. I spent most of my young life working to become a novelist, while simultaneously developing a love of cinema. At age three, I was quoting The Wizard of Oz. In college, I started reading screenplays and realized my creative style was more suited to movies. I dove into the study of film and have been in love with it ever since.
In 2017, I self-published my first novel, Resistance Rising: A Genre Wars Novel, which is available on Amazon. The book was inspired by the web series Genre Wars: Resistance Rising, for which I also wrote the screenplay.
I work full time for DUO Media Productions as an editor and writer. DUO Media is an award-winning, full service media production company serving national and international clients (commercial, nonprofit, industrial) in the Washington, DC area.
My backstory includes graduating Cum Laude from Stevenson University with a Bachrlor’s in Film/Video and producing my first independent short film, The Stranger, in June of 2010, which I also wrote (adapted from the book), directed, and edited. I have worked as Script Supervisor (Enemy of the Reich: Noor Inayat Khan Story, Sally Pacholok, The Rangers), Videographer and Editor (Book Smithed, The Great American Wheat Harvest). I also worked five consecutive summers for the School of Creative and Performing Arts – an organization specialized in the education of film, acting, dance and photography for young adults.
I currently live in Frederick, Maryland and love it here. When I’m not working, you can find me dreaming up my next cosplay, or reading, writing, and scheming at the local coffee house.
