Working For Victory

I was Rosie the Riveter for Halloween in 2015 and it was one of my favorite costumes I’ve ever worn.  Can you call it cosplay?  I’m not sure. Either way, it was a blast.  I was honored to pay homage to all the women of the 1940s who J. Howard Miller’s Westinghouse “We Can Do It” Rosie represents.
Also, my bestie H.L. Shepler pointed me in the direction of Dr. Jekyll & Mr.
Jive’s Rosie, an electro-swing cover of the Rosie the Riveter song, originally written by Redd Evans and John Jacob Loeb, released in 1943.  It’s fantastic.  Give it a listen; you won’t be disappointed.
